The area of the Glacier 9 showing is underlain by Lower Permian limestone and calcareous sediments of the Stikine Assemblage.

Samples of recrystallized limestone with disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite assayed up to 0.066 per cent copper (Samples 447075 and 076, Rock Sample Data Sheet, Assessment Report 19783). About 100 metres southeast sample 447077 of siltstone with bands of pyrrhotite and pyrite assayed 0.095 per cent copper and 5 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 19783).
